1. There is absolutely no swearing, no talking of a sexual nature, or explicit controlled substances within our league. We are a Family league, some members like to play cards with small children nearby and would like to do this knowing they do not have to worry. Let's keep things clean and simple for everyone.
   
   
2. If your screen name/ID is inappropriate for a family league, you will be asked to leave our league. We take the liberty of not allowing some folks to join because their ID/names may be offensive. You may return after you have a name/ID which is acceptable to the staff and members of this league.
   
   
3. If an opponent does not show up for a game, we ask that you wait a full 10 minutes before you "force forfeit" (FF). When you are waiting for an opponent and the gray box (Forfeit window) comes up, do not click on wait... the box will not come up again. Inform a Mod or Admin and just sit tight and wait the full 10 minutes. When the 10 minutes are up,remind the Mod or Admin and then you can click "Quit and Force Forfeit."
   
   
4. If you click wait, and your opponent shows up, you will have to play the game out, or wait the game time limit (varies between 40 and 50 minutes, unless playing the game of Speed) before you are granted the win.
   
   
5. If you do not wait the full 10 minutes to FF a player, you will lose 10 Rung points along with an automatic FF of the next game in that tournament. Your loss of points will be given to the member that was FF'd early.
   
   
6. Any time a player FF's wrongly, in doubles, causing an unfair "up" in their rung and a loss to the opponents, players will be restored to their origional rung. If this happens again after the first time, the player will forfeit the tourney..
   
   
7. ANY PLAYER ABSENT FROM A GAME LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RECLAIM THIER SEAT... THESE TOURNIES ARE DRAGGING ON FAR TO LONG. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY ALL MODS
   
   
8. The players of our league have voted to allow 2 games to be played at once as long as it doesn't intefere with the progress of the current tournament.
   
   
9. Please do not bounce in and out of the rooms. If you want to watch the game, go in and watch, but do not go in and out, in and out, etc.
   
   
10. There is no kibitzing without permission from both players, or if a doubles tournament...from all players. Administrators
    
    
11. We ask that you treat all members, moderators and administrators with respect at all times. Please treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.
    
    
12. When in a doubles "FINALS" game, the game is played "as is"-- regardless if subs are used. Players giving up their seat in a Tournament will forfeit all awards from that game. The game will be reported as players who actually complete the finals. All awards will be given to the final four players of that tournament!
    
    
13. If you have been given a suspension from our league for any reason, there will be a loss of all your current trophies on our web site. This includes both suspension and permanent banning. A "room ban" is not considered a suspension or permanent ban.
    
    
14. There is absolutely no advertising of another (Allstar or any other) canasta league via email, IM (Instant Messenger), in lobby and/or during a game. We are proud of HOME SWEET HOME CANASTA league and this will not be tolerated. If you are advertising for another league while in HSHC, you will be automatically banned from playing in our HSHC league.
    
    
15. If you have a problem with a member, please get a private table and try to work it out between yourselves. If that doesn't work, please ask a Moderator to join you in your private table to mediate. As a last resort, contact either Margo, Unilover, Velmarie or Darla.
    
    
16. In HOME SWEET HOME CANASTA, the rule is that the first person named in a team makes the table and takes the first seat. Once they have, the other players are allowed to choose a seat... and not before. All members and staff must abide by this rule.
    
    
17. As a member of HOME SWEET HOME CANASTA you agree not to change players within your own household without first asking the other players and the MOD or ADMIN that is hosting the tourney. This creates unneeded confusion and hard feelings. As this is a fun family league we prefer to keep it fun!!
